Garry
Noorbergen is Absolute Property Improvements. Garry is skilled in all
aspects of carpentry and building and has a flair for “thinking
outside the box"....especially little three bedroom brick and tile
or fibro boxes!
Garry has building in his blood. Growing up in
an extended family of builders in country Victoria, he watched, learnt
and was inspired.
At age 18 Garry left Victoria and set out on a five year learning
and working journey through the many landscapes
of Australia.
He settled on Dangar Island on the Hawkesbury River
in NSW, extending his knowledge and appreciation of art, architecture
and the river.
He spent seven years there before moving to Sydney's Northern Beaches
closer to his new wife Jacqueline's family.
On the beaches he met up with several successful
builders and architects, learning from them their excellent management
skills,
and was
trusted to manage individual jobs with his team of trades. He
enjoyed the
varied styles of work - the ocean meets the bush inspired architecture
of Palm
Beach and the traditional heritage style of Manly.
After
two children came along, Garry relocated with his little family to
Umina Beach on the Central Coast, and for the first
year continued
to commute to work at Palm Beach via the ferry. The following
year he joined a construction team and worked at the Umina and Woy Woy
campuses of Brisbane
Waters Secondary College.
Recently on the central coast he has completed several
decks and staircases with locally manufactured handrails and balustrading.
In Sydney, his focus has been mostly on remedial work and renovations
in tight heritage harbour residential suburbs like Manly and Neutral
Bay. Always fun, always ready for a challenge!
